Not sure what’s going on with all who support Sky Tavern Hockey but I am getting close to throwing in the towel for the season. Although the Tiny Tots and Wild Wednesdays are still going well, the open skating nights have died on the vine. Last night was fairly depressing with Branden the only skater showing up to play on ice we had worked on for hours to get back into shape with the warm weather.

650 folks on our website and one guy shows up to play. I don’t get it.

If next week is more of the same we are done for the season and I’ll pull the boards and call it good. Maybe the warm weather gets folks thinking about other things… I don’t know. After nights like that I begin to question the viability of an outdoor pond up here. Tonight is out due to the hot weather but we will be back next week for some post cold front skating. If you support this rink I hope you’ll show up.
